The mood of my paintings should reflect your personality. As we all know, imagination is priceless. Every piece you choose for your home, office or as a gift should make you happy and be a constant reminder that the art you have chosen is an expression of how and what you feel. First impressions are often the right one. Don’t complicate this with the opinions of others, I personally like hanging my art in a very simple frame.
Allow the art to speak for itself, not the frame. I have done several pieces for homes where we used extremely large frames and mats. This enables the eye to focus on the center piece of the art and create a contemporary look on larger walls. Another option is to float the art on top of the mat which gives it even more of a contemporary feel showing the natural flaws and textures of the paper.
